General principles The house conversion consists of an inside extension, creating terraces, and installing a Spa with its hidden coverage. This project is seen as an addition to the original building. It invites reading two periods of time. It plays both on continuity (by deployment) and disruption: a canopy emerges or penetrates a modernist architecture style. Under this canopy, bay windows with opening angles melt inside and outside spaces. With the guardrail, they play with shadows.
The terrace leads to the entire landscape: the sea but also the sky and the mountain. It is stressed thanks to first an organisation of half-levels wich release the views (the spa is set below, from above the guardrails do not obscure the view) and then to the canopy that reorients the view (also) to the west.
